We re-launched our Y.E.S. program today. We meet on Tuesday at 3:15 and learn how to run a concessions-based business. At the end of the school year we take a fun trip with the monies earned from our business. We had 12 new entrepreneurs today! Whoop whoop!!

The Learning Garden has been very good to us this year!

The kids are making zucchini bread from zucchinis harvested from our very own Learning Garden. They will be delivering them to our Winston Senior Center tomorrow ❤❤❤

Today we are combining art class and community service. These guys are painting the pedestals built by the DHS woods class for Art Spark.

We wrapped up our Cultural Connectedness Summer program with our very own culture. And what is one of America’s favorite pastimes as a culture? A good old American barbecue! The kids are showing off their passports and the map that shows all the places they visited through our culturaly connected summer programs this year. China, Japan, Jamaica, The Philippines, Mexico, Spain, Louisiana, Sweden, India and Italy are just a few of the places we visited.

The grand reveal! We wanted to have a fresh new look for the kids this year. The poppy colored accent wall matches our counter tops. We balanced the poppy with turquoise. The meaning of the color turquoise is open communication and clarity of thought.
